The family-owned company from Wasenweiler in Baden-Württemberg presented the “Grip 4-70” slope implement carrier for the first time last year and is now going into series production with it. The outstanding feature of this machine is the centrally positioned cab, which gives the driver a better overview. In combination with the rear-mounted 75 hp engine from Kohler, this results in better weight distribution longitudinally and transversely to the direction of travel. The front swing axle with 17° swing path and a pivot point 31 centimetres above the axle is innovative. The cooler package, which can be swivelled to the side without tools and is thus decoupled from the engine, ensures constant cooling performance at all times.

The two versions differ primarily in terms of operation and working hydraulics. The Premium model is equipped with a new operating concept that can be conveniently controlled via the multifunctional armrest. The premium quality of the working hydraulics is characterized, among other things, by the electronically proportional hydraulic control units. The two double-acting control units and the single-acting control unit at the front and rear, which can be operated independently of each other, ensure convenient operation. Another advantage of the premium version is that the flow rates of all control units are adjustable and the axial piston adjustment can be adjusted to a maximum. 75l/min at 180 bar flow rate.
The Premium model is equipped with a 7″ color display with touchscreen, which simplifies operation and contributes to greater working comfort. The high level of driving comfort makes the vehicle ideal for long periods of use.
In contrast to the standard version, the GRIP4-70 Premium includes features such as drift steering, rear PTO 540 rpm and professional rear linkage. In addition, the lifting force on the front linkage has been increased to 1700 kg so that wide hoes can also be attached. The “Claas Culti CAM” camera system can be installed in the vehicle as an option. This allows a camera-controlled hoe to be controlled fully automatically. The front hoe can be kept on track by linear displacement on the vehicle.
Powerful engine - economical consumption
The 4-cylinder Kohler engine in a very compact design features
a speed-independent controlled common rail high-pressure injection system as well as a fully electronic engine control. As a result, the GRIP4 always drives at the economic optimum and is extremely fuel-efficient. With a displacement of 2.5 liters, the 4-cylinder engine is characterized by liveliness, dynamics, smooth running and high performance.
Easy attachment of equipment
The front three-point linkage, which can be moved sideways, and the quick couplers at the rear make it easy to attach implements to the front or rear hydraulics. The large lifting capacity of 1500daN (front) and 1200daN (rear) also allows heavy equipment to be attached. If even more lifting power is needed, a professional power lift for the rear with a lifting power of 1700daN can be configured as an option. Mowers, mulchers, shovels, sweepers and snow blowers, for example, are ideal for attachment to the slope implement carrier.

Economical driving with state-of-the-art engine management
The GRIP4-70 has two different driving modes. These ensure the optimum driving programme for every application. The tractor electronics control the diesel engine speed in accordance with the power requested by the hydrostat for the travel drive or the PTO drive.

The speed and engine revolutions of the vehicle are controlled via the foot accelerator pedal.
2. accelerator pedal control field
The engine speed/power take-off speed is set via the control panel and the driving speed via the foot throttle pedal.
Steering modes
The hydraulic all-wheel steering with four steering variants enables very good maneuverability.
In drift steering, the axles are controlled independently of each other. The front axle is controlled via the steering wheel and the rear axle via the joystick.
