Powerful: 142 hp Kohler engine
The new GRIP4-140 is equipped with a 142 hp Kohler engine and a hydrostatic-mechanical power-split transmission. This is a fundamental difference to other slope tractors on the market.
The Kohler 4-cylinder engine with 3.4 l turbo diesel provides the power and performance for this. 142 hp are achieved from 1600 rpm, 650 N torque already at 1400 rpm. The engine meets the EU Stage V standard and consumes only 205 g/kWh at the best point.
High efficiency due to a hydrostatic-mechanical power split transmission
The driveline combines the ease of use of a hydrostatic transmission with the efficiency and performance of a manual transmission.

The slope tractor offers completely new possibilities with two mounting spaces (front, rear) and front loader.
The vehicle is an all-rounder for year-round use in agriculture and other sectors such as forestry, municipal, landscaping and coastal protection. The hillside tractor can pull logs out of the forest, mulch and do other things with forestry equipment and tyres that are gentle on the ground. The GRIP4-140 is also in demand in landscaping and landscape management: mowing with double-blade mowers in the front and rear that are gentle on beneficial insects, mulcher combinations leave the vegetation, the organic matter, on site where it should decompose quickly and provide nutrients for the next vegetation period.
The GRIP4-140 is also used in coastal protection and green space maintenance on dykes. Also for reseeding grassland with missing areas. And finally, the municipal field of application: here, too, the Sauerburg slope tractor proves to be a real all-rounder, starting with winter maintenance, green space management, verge maintenance, loading and transport work throughout the year. The front loader attachment rounds off the range of applications perfectly and replaces the farm tractor.

Top front axle pendulum
The arrangement of the front axle pendulum above the front axle gives the slope tractor more stability. All heavy components are located with their centre of gravity below the overhead front axle pendulum (1).

Steering modes
The slope tractor offers an all-wheel steering system with four steering modes. Front axle steering Front axle steering, all-wheel steering, crab steering and drift steering. The drift steering, which can override the rear axle via joystick, ensures staying on track on side slopes.
